Professor Becky P.Y. Loo, Dr Sheng Bao, Dr Zhuangyuan Fan, and Dr Ting Lian’s project on Sight2Insight: A Scalable AI Platform on Urban Visual Intelligence has won a Gold Medal at the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva 2026.

Sight2Insights is a web-based platform that focuses on using visual clues and artificial intelligence models to make cities better. It is anchored upon the concept of urban visual intelligence, whereby city imagery can generate significant insights to overcome urban challenges at different spatial scales, ranging from the street, city and global levels. It goes beyond the physical infrastructure by capturing behavioural dynamics. Sight2Insights supports continuous, low-cost, and citywide data-driven decisions for healthier, safer and more inclusive urban communities.
