On 5th May 2026, JLFC Co-Directors, Professor Becky Loo and Professor Hayden So, visited the Smart Command Theatre at Motto Hilton Hotel, Hong Kong, with the Chairman of the Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS), Professor K.K. Ling, and Interim Director of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Jockey Club Design Institute for Social Innovation (J.C. DISI), Professor Sam Lam.

The Smart Command Theatre showcases the latest Common Spatial Data Infrastructure (CSDI) technologies and autonomous twin solutions in Hong Kong. The group was warmly hosted by Dr Rosana Wong, Mr Benny Liu, Mr Ben Ng and Ms Vicky Huang. The visit has inspired discussions on the future of smart cities in Hong Kong and beyond, particularly focusing on smart construction, smart mobility and smart environment.
